INTRODUCTION

Across Fidelio’s Search, Evaluation and Development assignments on an international basis, we see the increasing challenge facing Remuneration Committee (RemCo) Chairs, driven by pressure from shareholders and other stakeholders.

We were therefore pleased to be joined on 22ndJanuary 2019 by Ruth Cairnie, Chair of the Rolls-Royce and Associated British Foods Remuneration Committees, as well as a select group of Remuneration Committee Chairs from a range of sectors and geographies for a Board Breakfast to explore the challenge of this role. In this document we are pleased to share key findings and practical guidance.
