Simon started his career in the City in 1985, working as an oil analyst for Sheppards and Kleinwort Benson. He worked in Hong Kong from 1993 to 2000 as Regional Head of Research for Asia Equity/Paribas Asia Equity.
 

Since his return to London, he has headed up highly research teams at BNP Paribas, Exane, JP Morgan, Liberum Capital and Credit Suisse, covering General Retail, Online, and Sporting Goods, as well as supervising teams covering Luxury Goods and Food Retail.
 

His work combines a deep understanding of industry themes, combined with a thorough bottom-up analysis of financials as well as company management teams and culture. He has also worked on a dozen IPO’s and capital raises, and works closely with fund managers, buyside analysts and the broader investment community.
